The purpose of this blog is to discuss, review and consider the various issues pertaining to publication and design. Now, more than ever, it is prudent and pertinent to discuss these issues not only among peers (fellow students studying Issues in Publication and Design) but also professional document designers.

The reason why I have opted to use a blog as a platform of discussion is because the Internet, or the World Wide Web offers a ‘complex interplay of written text, images and other graphic or sound elements …’ (Kress & van Leeuwen 2006, p.17).
